Another multi cultural week with cyclists from Australia, Canada, Switzerland, Spain, Sweden and Great Britain. Every week is so different, it’s never a dull moment!  We started this week with some great views of the Poppies during our ride to Petra. Petra was now back to its normal self and not too busy with huge bunches of cyclists. Day 2 was a tour round the quiet lanes to Sencelles, then we split with a few looping round via Randa while the others meandered across to Sineu via Pina. One of the last visits to Mr Marvelous at Bar Triquet as he has now retired. He will be missed by all the groups that regularly visit Bar Triquet.  Day 3 was the ever popular and most requested – Sa Calobra. Carefully staggered starting times for the groups ensured that we all met up on the crucial part of the route. On the way down the amazing descent, another sign of the changing season, no Mallorca Cycling Photos team out today! This week, a few elected to look down at the view from the cafe at the top but avoid inflicting pain on their legs and enjoyed a drink instead!  Day 4 was a nominated rest day, so some did and some didn’t… They went to the Cap Formentor and enjoyed it’s unique views and surprisingly challenging gradients for such an innocent looking ride on the map! Day 5 was a common ride out to Lloseta, then some back over Col de sa Batalla via Mancor, while the remainder, onwards to Alaro, up Col de Orient, down to Bunyola, Santa Maria and a well earned lunch stop. On the way back, there were a few legs needing some more work, so an additional climb was added with a left turn to Lloseta, Mancor, Caimari and up the lovely Col to the Petrol Station cafe. Day 6 was a gentle spin out to Son Serra via the quiet back roads with coffee and cakes at the cafe by the beach. On the way back, there were still a few twitchy or restless legs, so a quite small but painful dog leg was added in and it seemed to do the trick, or at least it stopped the talking as lungs became fully utilised for maximum oxygen uptake!  We rounded off the week with a group meal in the evening and a not too late night out!
